This week we worked our butts off, now that we know how. We were being obedient to a T and... blessings. It's nice to know what we're doing so far. And we were blessed. We found a family of 6, a family of 4, and one guy this week. So far only the parents are taking the lessons, but we're still trying our best. Technically we have 5 new investigators this week, which is really good from what I understand. It's awesome! I'm so pumped to actually be a missionary. It's a little hard sometimes, but I know we will continue to be blessed as we are obedient and diligent. There's a guy in our ward named Swede Young and he is awesome. He's helped us a ton and coming on team ups with us. I know the missionaries appreciate you doing that.My comp knows everything about the Gospel, it's ridiculous. I've learned that I don't know a lot of what I'm teaching, but I guess I know enough. My comp says I'm good at just talking to people, which I know isn't me, Heavenly Father blessed me with that after a lot of prayer and awkward situations. He's really good at talking doctrine. He understands it very well, so I think we go well together. It's pretty awesome to be able to share this message of truth, and still have fun.I'm such a city boy holy schnikeys. We were messing with chickens and helping a member out and we are cleaning this little chick cage thing, which used to be a terrarium, so all the smell was nasty. I stuck my head in there to grab the wood chips and might've puked a bit. My companion just laughed. But no one saw so it's all good I felt like a wuss. After that I was fine and no problems. Just wanted to disappoint ya. ;)I love you and thank you so much for all you've taught me. Spanish is going well. I'll talk to ya next week; I'm about to go bowling with a ward family and look like a fool.Elder Ogden

My new companion is awesome. Elder Holden came in guns ablazin'. We have been putting in WORK. We have a pretty active area, but a lot of stuff is goin down and stopping people from progressing. We started off this week by going to the mid trainers meeting. President Love knows so much. He was talking and he had us to turn a scripture that talked about how awesome Moroni was and how if every man was like him, the very powers of hell would shake and tremble. Then the next verse says he was a man like Ammon, the son of Mosiah. Well, if you look in Mosiah 27 or 28, somewhere around there, it said the sons of Mosiah were among the most vilest of sinners. How did a man go from being that, to being a man like Moroni? The answer is pretty simple: the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I just pointing that out really shows the true power and effect of what Our Savior did for us.The next day we went to the "sketchy" part of our area, downtown Excelsior. It's a really cool area; I love it down there, but there's tons of drugs and all sorts of stuff. It's pretty rough I guess, but it isn't that bad. I don't think my companion enjoyed it though. We got 3 return appointments out of tracting there. It was awesome and an answer to our prayers. We also got to play ball, which was a dream come true. Just street ballin' with some homies downtown. We didn't stay long because of the music and some guys showed up smokin' something strong, but it was a good experience and we met some cool people.Yesterday we were at church from 9 am to 4 pm. Being a bishop would be pretty rough. Made me more thankful for them and all they do.
Elder OgdenThanks for everything you've done for me, I love you.
