Alright bad news first.
We play basketball with investigators, members of the Elders Quorum, and the youth on Thursday nights. Helps with fellowship and all that great stuff. We play some pretty fun games and it's one of my favorite parts of the week. But then something horrible happened. I was driving to the left of the basket and took a step back fade cutting towards the baseline, when outta no where, my boy Greg Grant comes in there and literally demolishes me. I got stuffed like a turkey.
Good news.
I got to use my Spanish this week on an exchange with the zone leaders and had some of the best food of my life.
Also we started teaching a lady named Tiffany! She is super awesome and she notices there's something missing.
We've had a lot of opportunities to serve this week, especially with moving people this week. The highlight was getting a washer stuck in a doorway (it's still there).
Yesterday at church we talked about how important it is for us to choose in this life and why we need to be able to. There is a scripture in the Book of Mormon that talks about how we should use this ability to choose, or agency.
2 Nephi 10:23" Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life."
After we act and do our best, then we can experience the grace of Christ and continue to progress through everything, because we know we have Christ on our side. As described by Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Well I'll talk to yall next week, but love y'all!
