Elder Owens and Elder Ogden eating hot peppers

Sister Andrade sent these pictures to me (Elder Ogden's mom). Her family took Elder Owens and him out for his 20th birthday! How sweet is that?!

Kansas City, Kansas sky at night

This week was a pretty good one. On Tuesday the Andrades took us out to lunch, which was really good and really nice of them. It was a really good day of work too. We got to teach a lot of people, including an awesome part member fam. The wife was baptized a long time ago. They are in their early 20s, we think. They have a lot of promise!

We got to have interviews with President Love on Thursday which went really well. He is always such a wise guy. Concerning me staying or leaving the Kaw [for my last transfer], I think I'm staying, but I’m not sure. President Love said that I will probably stay because he doesn't like breaking up trainees from their trainers, so I'm hoping to stay, but we’ll see. I love Elder Owens.

Same day we met a man named Francisco from Cuba who wore 2 pairs of underwear. That's it…at the same time. But the nicest dood in the world and just let us in his house and showed us all his pictures and stuff… haha he’s so funny.

We street contacted into a lady a while ago and we set up an appt with her and it turns out that she is a member that was baptized in Mexico named Maria! Anyways she ended up telling us a story about getting sucked up into a sewer drain. That's Mexico for ya.

We ate at GG’s, that lil’ restaurant, 2 times this week it was awesome! When members cant feed us, they will send us there. Nice.

There were a lot of just straight sucky parts of this week, but that's the cool thing. If you focus on the garbage, you're gonna see and feel garbage. But if you focus on the good, you're gonna see good. Just like how the promise is if we focus on Christ, we’ll have the spirit with us. Simple.

Little kids are so funny man, they crack me up. We get to meet a bunch of ‘em that just get here from Honduras that don’t speak any English and it's my favorite! They're so funny.

Octopus is gross. Nuff said. Not a big fan. Texture is weird.

We found a mouse in our apartment, so that's an L. [RIP Timmy]

I love you and thanks for everything…sorry for the short email today.

Elder Ogden
